Last training session before the Worlds
Today we did our very last training session before the worlds starts tomorrow. We had a beautiful day with plenty of breeze and sunshine which definitely is the norm here in Curacao. We tried to practice in what we think will be the championship court with another norwegian boat. All feels good and we feel fast in the strong breeze. If we will sail in the proposed course further out from the shore, we will have a good chance of making a good result. The problem for the race committee is that the water is very deep just a few miles outside the harbour. Anyone that tried to do race management knows how hard it can be to pull up an anchor for a race mark at modest depth. Here we talk about several hundreds or even thousands of meter of depth.
OK, just some finetuning to do and then read the sailing instructions carefully. Then we are good to go!
